Caladiums are grown for their colourful foliage. They can be grown indoors anywhere or outside in the garden or containers once nighttime temperatures get above 18°C. They should be kept moist, not wet, watering when the topsoil feels dry. Most species do best in shade or semi shade, but a few can tolerate full morning sun, but all need high humidity, misting works well indoors. As a house plant keep in a bright spot out of direct sunlight.
